  • c) Urine sample has to be collected 'fresh' in the clinic premises.
  • d) At the time of X-Ray chest, you will need to disrobe upper half (in privacy), including removal of any metallic objects on chest area. A chaperone will ALWAYS be provided to ALL FEMALE APPLICANTS. Kindly cooperate with the X-Ray technician and adhere to the instructions provided by him/her to obtain a high-quality X-Ray.
  • e) At the time of physical examination, the clients will need to disrobe outer clothing in privacy. All female applicants will be provided an examination gown. A nurse/ chaperone will invariably be present for all female clients throughout the medical examination.

What are the documents we need to carry for our medicals?

  • a)Original passport.(If original passport has already been submitted at the high commission, 2 photocopies of the current passport along with 'driving licence' and / or 'Aadhaar' card is necessary).
  • b) 2 photocopies of the first and last two pages of the passport.
  • c) Covid-19 vaccination certificate (both doses).
  • d) All past medical records (of yourself and all your dependents who are applying for the visa medicals. Kindly bring previous chest X-Rays, especially if treated for tuberculosis (TB), along with drug treatment details.
  • e) Discharge summary of major hospitalizations (including surgery and biopsy reports if any).
  • f) Please carry all details of current ‘drug prescriptions’, including use of devices such as ‘hearing aid, walking stick, callipers.

Do I need to come fasting for my medicals?

No. There is no need to come fasting.

Q4.

Can I come for the medicals if I am pregnant?

  • a)Yes, you may come. Please consult with your gynaecologist before visiting our center for your medicals.
  • b)No additional tests are required. However, as X-Ray chest is a mandatory requirement for all Applicants 11 years of age and above.
    •  A double wrap around lead-shield will be provided for the abdomen (for protection against radiation risk for the foetus).
    •  A Applicant declaration form' for consent for X-Ray chest needs to be signed prior to the X-Ray examination.

What to expect during the 'medicals'?

The entire process usually will take between 2-4 hours to complete.

STEP 1: You will need to first report at the front desk at the appointed date and time with the required documents After the I.D. proofs verifications, you will need make the billing (either by cash, card or UPI) as per the rates fixed by the High Commission, New Delhi.

  • a)The doctor is NOT obliged to share any medical information after the completion of medical examination. However, if any potentially serious disorder is identified, the Applicant will be advised accordingly. The doctor is NOT obliged to prescribe any drugs for any newly identified medical condition.
  • b) In case of any abnormality discovered in the lab tests subsequently, the Applicant may be contacted to visit the clinic again for additional /repeat tests within 48 hours. (This may add to extra cost).
Q6.

What happens after the medicals?

  • a)All Applicants will be issued signed and dated Applicant bio-data and summary form/information sheet reference letter for Canada and New Zealand.
  • b)Please ensure safe keeping of the above forms as duplicate copies cannot be issued. (Hence it is advisable to keep additional photocopies of the same).
  • c)If initial lab results are abnormal, or based on pre-existing chronic disorders additional mandatory tests (as laid out in the medical guideline) may be requested within 48 hours of the visit. The cost of the additional tests will have to be borne by the applicant.
  • d)If initial lab reports are normal the medicals will be uploaded to the e-medical portal of the respective country within 48 hours after your appointment. This is confidential and will be shared with the applicant upon their request only.
